About Me

I'm Paulo Radatz, an electrical engineer with over a decade of experience in OpenDSS and power system analysis. My academic journey includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, where I was honored as the top student and recognized as an 'honored professor' by my peers.

My expertise lies in distribution systems modeling and simulation, including hosting capacity analysis, DER modeling, and static and time-series power flow simulations. I have spent the last ten years working extensively with Python and OpenDSS, developing automation solutions to simplify power system analysis.

Education has always been a passion of mine. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I have trained engineers, students, and researchers worldwide through conferences, university courses, and industry events. I founded the largest YouTube channel dedicated to OpenDSS, where I share technical content to help others master this tool. I also teach OpenDSS courses at the University of São Paulo, including the Electric Power Distribution MBA and Power System Analysis with OpenDSS.

My goal is to make OpenDSS and Python-based simulations more accessible, helping you unlock the full potential of these tools.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you!
